Our wood fence Middleburg featured installation is a 6’H Stockade Wood Privacy Fence on the side lines with 4’H French Gothic Wood Picket Fence on the back line. And here is what the customer had to say:
After living without a fence (but with two dogs and two kids) for two years we decided to bite the bullet and have one installed. Superior was recommended to us by my parents who had just had their fence done. Our sales rep Ralph was extremely helpful and they did all the leg work for getting our HOA approval. On the day of our installation the crew arrived on time and with about 5 guys to get our fence put up.
Ernest confirmed all the details and even helped us make a correction to the plan that would have been a problem for opening our gate. The guys worked right through a minor electrical issue where we lost power. I would have expected that they would have taken a break until it was resolved but not this crew they kept doing what they could until power was restored and still finished ahead of schedule. Our fence looks terrific, and I would recommend if u are looking to have your fence done.
Yet another quality installation by Ernest, Sophath, Robert, Blake, Errol, and Justin. And a great job delivering on our goal of first class customer service!
Wood Fence Middleburg
Wood fence warranties don’t cover everything. Our wood fence product warranty covers termite damage and rot. The warranty term is lifetime for the posts and rails, and 15 years for the pickets. The warranty does not cover splitting, cracking, warping, twisting, or any other natural characteristics of wood. Why not? Because wood is a natural product, and there is only so much a person can do to mitigate the natural effects of nature on wood.
The good news is that you can mitigate the damage that the elements do to your new wood fence. The best action is to stain your new fence with a solid color stain. The solid color stain is essentially outdoor paint, and solid stains typically have the longest warranty period. For example, the vertical warranty for most solid stains is eight to ten years. For all intents and purposes you may only have to stain your fence once. And you get a great looking fence too!
The only drawback to staining is the cost, which can be up to $.65 per square foot. To get the cost multiply the height of the fence by the length of the fence, double that if you are staining both sides, then multiply the result by .65 to get your estimated cost. It is certainly a significant investment but one that will protect your wood fence for many years to come.
Other easy ways to protect your new wood fence include adjusting sprinkler heads to not spray the fence, applying a clear seal once every 18-24 months, and applying a mildewcide for the areas in heavy shade.
